No more valid excuses for Purefoods mentor Ryan Gregorio this import-laiden conference. Aside from import Reggie Larry, coach Ryan got two marquee players in Don Carlos Allado and Nino Canaleta both from Burger King. Purefoods had to let go of youthful Beau Belga, Chad Alonzo, and guard Chico Lanete.
Purefoods now definitely has the depth. Recall that the team acquired the services of Rich Alvarez and Topex Robinson before the season started. The team seems to be complete from the 1 to 5 spots. However, the point guard position seems to be quite shallow with the departure of combo guard Chico Lanete. Only veterans Topex Robinson and Roger Yap are the natural court generals in the roster.
